Nio's sub-brand Onvo has introduced the Starlight styling package for its L80 electric SUV. The update features Xinghan Blue paint and 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, priced at ¥10 080 for orders placed before September 30.

The company is implementing these design changes following three consecutive months of declining deliveries. In August, Onvo delivered 3 139 units of the L80, which is a decrease from 5 949 units in May. Total cumulative deliveries since May reached 16 406 vehicles.

The L80, launched on May 15, is a large 5-seat SUV. The base price starts at ¥242 800, while the BaaS model is available from ¥156 800 with a monthly battery rental fee of ¥899. More than 90 percent of initial buyers selected the BaaS option.

Onvo's strategy mirrors that of its sister brand Firefly, which frequently uses exclusive design editions to maintain consumer interest. Firefly recently released a limited edition of 666 vehicles priced at ¥135 800, representing a 13.4 percent premium over its base model.
