Nio officially completed its Silk Road battery swapping route on September 26. The network spans 3,605 kilometers from Xi'an in Shaanxi province to Horgos in Xinjiang, supported by 33 battery swapping stations along the way.
With this expansion, Nio users can now travel across all provincial-level administrative regions in mainland China using only the company's battery swapping infrastructure. The main route passes through key locations including Lanzhou, Zhangye, Jiuquan, Hami, and Urumqi.
The company also detailed several regional routes in Xinjiang. These include a 807-kilometer path with 20 stations, a 984-kilometer northern route with 19 stations, and a 1,076-kilometer valley route featuring 23 stations.
Additional infrastructure includes a 1,867-kilometer loop route equipped with 26 stations and a 679-kilometer route to Sayram Lake supported by 18 stations. These additions aim to provide comprehensive coverage for Nio vehicle owners across the region.
