NIO's CEO William Li emphasized that the company has achieved growth against the industry trend. He stated that NIO has been profitable for three consecutive quarters, and deliveries from January to August this year increased by 57.9% year-on-year.
The rest of the domestic car market in China has faced significant challenges, with sales declining by more than 20% between January and August. Li believes the Chinese automotive industry has entered a final, highly competitive stage where success depends on system capabilities and high-quality operations.
According to official announcements, NIO delivered 35,836 vehicles in August 2026, a 14.5% increase year-on-year. Total deliveries for the year to date as of August 2026 reached 262,893 vehicles, showing a 57.9% increase.
As of August 31, 2026, the company's cumulative delivery volume has reached 1,260,485 vehicles. Additionally, the company's net loss attributable to the parent company for the first half of the 2026 fiscal year was ¥1.218 billion, which is a reduction of 89.88% year-on-year.
