Nintendo Japan has officially announced an increase in repair service costs for its Switch and Switch 2 consoles, effective November 16. The company attributes this price adjustment to the rising costs of replacement parts required for maintenance.

Under the new pricing structure, the cost to repair the motherboard for the Switch 2 will rise from ¥27 500 to ¥37 400. Similarly, the repair fee for the original Switch motherboard will increase from ¥14 300 to ¥24 200.

This update follows a series of price adjustments for Nintendo hardware in the Japanese market. Earlier this year, in May, the company already raised the retail prices for various models, including the original Switch, the Switch OLED, and the Switch Lite.
