Nikon is preparing to launch its Nikkor Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S lens by the end of October. The lens features a built-in 1.4x teleconverter, which extends the focal range from 120mm to 420mm. Nikon first announced the development of this product in May.
Initial production volume for the new lens is expected to be limited, potentially leading to extended waiting periods for customers. Some retail outlets have already started accepting pre-orders. Market rumors suggest the retail price will exceed the current cost of the Nikkor Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S, which is listed at ¥99 999.
In addition to the lens, Nikon is planning to release the Z70 camera. While a launch is anticipated for November, the company may delay the release date. The existence of the Z70 model was previously revealed through an official Apple support page detailing ProRes and ProRes RAW authorized products, though that reference has since been removed.
