Nikon has unveiled the Z5 IIC, a simplified version of the Z5 II full-frame camera. The new model is priced $450 lower than its predecessor, achieved by removing the electronic viewfinder, one of the two memory card slots, and the autofocus joystick, as well as using a 1.04 MP LCD screen instead of a 2.1 MP unit.
The camera features a 24.5-megapixel full-frame sensor paired with an EXPEED 7 image processor and a mechanical shutter. It includes 15 automated scene modes, support for Imaging Recipes via Nikon Imaging Cloud, and film grain simulation. The device is available in black and silver finishes.
Technical capabilities include in-body image stabilization and autofocus with 3D object tracking. The camera supports 10-bit video recording in H.265, N-Log, and N-RAW formats. Continuous shooting reaches 15 fps with the mechanical shutter and 30 fps with the electronic shutter.
The Nikon Z5 IIC will be available in mid-October. The body-only price is set at $1399.99, while the kit including a 24–50mm f/4–6.3 lens will retail for $1699.95.
