A product designer has released a free plugin for Figma, titled Claude Design to Figma Import, available in the Figma Community. The tool is designed to convert standalone HTML export files generated by Claude Design into fully editable Figma layers.
The plugin automatically detects individual screens within the uploaded HTML bundle and reconstructs them in Figma. The resulting files include native Figma features such as auto-layout, text elements, vector graphics, gradients, shadows, and the original project data.
The developer created the tool to eliminate manual work when transferring complex, system-oriented interfaces like CRM systems or dashboards from Claude Design to Figma. This approach avoids the need for repeated MCP requests and token consumption.
Development took approximately one month, involving iterative testing and bug fixing to ensure the tool handles various project structures. The creator plans to continue updating the plugin to address new scenarios and bugs as they arise.
