BMW has unveiled the new generation of its 3 Series, featuring internal combustion engines. Russian dealerships are preparing to import the vehicles through alternative channels, with the first units expected to reach customers between February and March 2027.
The base BMW 318 model is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, producing 156 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Due to its power output of up to 160 hp, this version may qualify for a reduced recycling fee in Russia. The BMW 320 variant offers 211 hp and 330 Nm.
The top-tier M350 xDrive replaces the M340i xDrive, featuring a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine with 426 hp and 540 Nm. It includes an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. A future software update will introduce the Drift Moment mode, allowing torque redirection to the rear axle.
The new 3 Series is built on the updated CLAR architecture, featuring a double-wishbone front suspension and a wider track. The vehicle also introduces an AI-powered voice assistant capable of controlling climate, windows, seats, and multimedia, while providing recommendations based on driving conditions.
