NetEase Cloud Music has released the 9.6.0 version of its HarmonyOS application through the App Gallery early access section. The update is described by internal testing staff as a major release, although official release notes remain limited.
The new build introduces Vivid audio quality, aiming for studio-level sound reproduction with enhanced high and low frequencies. Additionally, the app now includes a video podcast feature, allowing users to watch content while browsing the platform.
The interface has been updated with a new creator center, personalization options, and improved playback settings. Users can now manage storage, clear caches, and utilize advanced audio features like crossfade and smart transitions.
The application has removed the 'Beta' label from its icon, suggesting an official launch is imminent. The HarmonyOS version was initially released in late August through a collaboration between Huawei and NetEase to provide core music streaming functionality.
