NeoVolta Power has entered a five-year supply agreement with SK On to secure lithium iron phosphate battery cells produced in the US. The contract covers the period from 2027 through 2031 and provides for the delivery of 9 gigawatt-hours of cells to the NeoVolta factory in Pendergrass, Georgia.

These cells will be utilized to manufacture battery energy storage systems for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications. Under the agreement, SK On is designated as the primary supplier for NeoVolta Power's LFP pouch-cell storage products.

The companies have also established a framework for a potential second phase involving an additional 9 gigawatt-hours. In this scenario, SK On would supply the cells, NeoVolta would assemble them into packs, and SK On would purchase the finished units. This expansion remains subject to future orders.

NeoVolta launched its US manufacturing platform in January. The Pendergrass facility currently has an initial production line designed for 2 gigawatt-hours annually. The partnership with SK On is expected to support a second production line, aiming to increase the factory's total capacity to 8 gigawatt-hours by 2028.
