Norwegian open banking firm Neonomics has raised €3.56 million from its existing shareholders. The company, which was founded in 2017 in Oslo, has now secured over €44.39 million in total private investment to date. The current funding round follows a period of significant operational restructuring.
CEO Alfonso Muñoz, who took the interim role in February 2026, oversaw a reduction in operating costs by nearly 50%. The company reports that new customer acquisition has grown by more than 60% since the beginning of the year, with gains in both its payment and financial data business segments.
Neonomics operates an open finance platform that connects businesses to over 3,500 banks across Europe. The firm holds licenses as a Payment Institution, Payment Initiation Service Provider, and Account Information Service Provider, authorized for operations throughout the European Union.
The company markets its products under the Nello brand, focusing on real-time account verification, AI-driven financial intelligence, and account-to-account payment processing. The new capital will support expansion into personal finance, accounting, ERP, and consumer-facing financial services.
