Neo4j Inc. has introduced Neo4j GraphAware Financial Crime Intelligence, a new software solution designed for banks and insurance companies. The launch follows the company's acquisition of GraphAware, which was finalized in August.
The platform aggregates data from disparate systems into a single graph. This allows analysts to track connections across various accounts, transactions, and devices. The software utilizes a knowledge layer that incorporates findings from previous investigations to improve future monitoring and support enterprise AI.
The product workflow consists of four stages: Signal for pattern detection, Alert for delivering context-rich warnings, Investigate for tracing linked records with third-party data, and Decide for logging outcomes and maintaining evidence.
The company notes that financial institutions are facing increased regulatory pressure and higher fines for fraud prevention. According to Interpol, global financial fraud losses reached an estimated $442 billion in 2025.
Neo4j currently serves major clients such as BNP Paribas SA, UBS Group AG, Zurich Insurance Group AG, and Klarna Group plc. The company reports that 84 of the Fortune 100 firms utilize its technology.
