On-chain investigator ZachXBT reported irregular outflows from the Near Intents cross-chain protocol hot wallet on the BNB Smart Chain. The estimated value of the assets involved exceeds $3.8 million.

At the time of the report, there was no independent confirmation of the incident or on-chain data verifying the drain. The protocol, which typically processes over $100 million in daily volume, has not provided a breakdown of the attack vector.

This incident follows recent activity by Near Intents regarding the Bitget exchange hack. The protocol's SHIELD system previously blocked over $50 million in illicit flows related to that breach, freezing $503 000 and allowing $166 000 to pass through.

While the SHIELD system is designed to screen tainted funds, a hot wallet exploit represents a separate operational security issue. If the loss is confirmed, the protocol will need to address how its infrastructure was accessed and if user funds were compromised.
