Yulia Navalnaya has become the leading candidate for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize on the prediction market platform Polymarket. Over the course of a single night, her implied probability of winning rose from a range of 5–16% to a peak between 65.5% and 69%.
The total trading volume for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize market on Polymarket reached approximately $30 million. Specifically, the contract tied to Navalnaya attracted over $1.7 million in volume during the activity.
Following the initial surge, the odds for Navalnaya stabilized in the range of 20–30%. Despite this correction, she remained the frontrunner ahead of other candidates, such as Ukrainian activist Mykola Kuleba and the Sudanese organization Emergency Response Rooms.
The market activity occurred shortly before the Norwegian Nobel Committee was scheduled to announce the laureate for 2026. Similar market fluctuations were observed in 2025, when the odds for Maria Corina Machado peaked near 73% before she was awarded the prize.
