The Nasdaq Composite index reached a new intraday record on September 22, hitting 27,272.72 points. This figure surpasses the previous peak of 27,190.21 points set on June 1.
Market growth was supported by a rally in technology stocks, particularly in the AI and semiconductor sectors. Additionally, a decline in oil prices to an 11-day low helped reduce inflation concerns and boosted investor sentiment.
Following the Nasdaq's performance, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 also saw gains, rising by 0.30% and 0.19% respectively.
Analysts suggest that the index could maintain these levels if corporate earnings expectations remain positive and inflation data stays moderate. However, potential volatility remains linked to Federal Reserve monetary policy and global geopolitical risks.
