NASA has announced the crew for the SpaceX Crew-14 mission, scheduled to launch to the International Space Station no earlier than spring 2027. The mission represents the 14th commercial crew rotation under the agency's Low Earth Orbit Program.

The crew includes NASA astronauts Kayla Barron and Chris Birch, who will serve as commander and pilot. They will be joined by mission specialists Makoto Suwa from JAXA and Arutyun Kiviryan from Roscosmos. Upon arrival, the team will participate in Expeditions 75 and 76.

Kayla Barron, a U.S. Navy commander, is making her second flight to the station, having previously served on the SpaceX Crew-3 mission. Chris Birch, a former bioengineering instructor and Olympic track cyclist candidate, will be embarking on her first spaceflight.

For Makoto Suwa, a former World Bank Group employee with a doctorate in geosciences, this mission marks his first spaceflight. Arutyun Kiviryan, a test cosmonaut since 2023 and a graduate of the Baltic State Technical University, will also be making his first trip to the station.

The crew will conduct scientific research and technology demonstrations to support future exploration of the Moon and Mars. These activities are part of the ongoing effort to maintain a continuous human presence on the International Space Station, which has lasted for over 25 years.
