Nanosoft has released nanoCAD BIM Construction 26, an updated software solution for architectural and structural design. The new version incorporates feedback from pilot projects and focuses on improving performance and workflow efficiency for architects, engineers, and BIM coordinators.
The software features significant performance gains, with some operations running 3 to 10 times faster. Key updates include a redesigned spatial reference system, improved multi-layer wall and roof construction tools, and automated room contour detection. The interface for IFC exports has been updated to meet current regulatory requirements.
Reinforced concrete design capabilities have been expanded with a new reinforcement plane tool and advanced rebar management features. Two new tools, 'Rebar by Area' and 'Layout by Path,' allow for automated reinforcement distribution. Additionally, the software now supports object mapping and solar lighting analysis.
Technical Director Denis Ozhigin stated that the update aims to streamline the transition from information modeling to final project documentation. The solution is designed to integrate into the existing nanoCAD ecosystem, allowing users to maintain workflows within the standard dwg environment.
