Elon Musk has announced plans to significantly accelerate chip development at the Terafab facility, which is currently positioned as the world's largest semiconductor manufacturing project. The company aims to shift from its current pace of producing one major chip every two years to launching approximately 10 new chips annually.

The initiative involves streamlining the entire production cycle, including architectural design, prototyping, testing, and the calibration of manufacturing equipment. Musk noted that the standard industry timeline for developing a complex microchip from initial design to mass production typically spans two years.

To support these goals, Musk is actively recruiting top-tier engineers in semiconductor design and manufacturing. Interested specialists are invited to join the teams at SpaceX or Tesla to work on high-speed project development and the optimization of advanced manufacturing hardware.
