Elon Musk's companies, X Corp and SpaceXAI, have officially settled their legal dispute with Apple in the Texas federal court. The plaintiffs previously accused Apple of anti-competitive behavior by securing exclusive integration of ChatGPT into Apple Intelligence features across its devices.
The companies filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit against Apple, which was originally initiated last year. The court filing did not disclose the specific reasons for the withdrawal or confirm whether a formal settlement agreement was reached between the parties involved.
Despite ending the litigation against Apple, X Corp and SpaceXAI confirmed that they will proceed with their legal action against OpenAI. OpenAI remains a defendant in the ongoing case, and the plaintiffs intend to continue the proceedings against the ChatGPT developer.
As of now, representatives from X Corp, SpaceXAI, Apple, and OpenAI have not provided any official comments regarding the resolution of the dispute with Apple or the status of the remaining claims against OpenAI.
