MTS has launched Russia's first high-precision geolocation infrastructure designed for autonomous vehicle management. The system is currently utilized by Yandex to support its driverless transport operations across the country.

The network is operational on four major federal highways, including M-11 Neva, M-4 Don, M-12 Vostok, and the Central Ring Road. Coverage also extends to Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, and Voronezh.

The infrastructure relies on GNSS RTK technology, processing data from Glonass, GPS, Galileo, and Beidou satellites. By integrating data from MTS base stations, the system achieves positioning accuracy of 2–5 cm, allowing navigation in zero visibility.

MTS has deployed over 4,000 km of this network. The company plans to extend M-4 Don coverage to Novorossiysk by the end of the year and expand the M-12 Vostok route to Tyumen by 2028.

By 2030, MTS aims to provide coverage across all Russian cities with a population of over one million and major logistics hubs. The company intends to offer this solution to other logistics firms and expand internationally.
