MTS has expanded its high-speed home internet network across all districts of Smolensk. The infrastructure now covers over 149,000 households in apartment buildings, providing connection speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s.
The network is available in both the historic center and residential areas, including Sitniki and Kiselevka. Following this deployment, the operator intends to extend its fixed-line services to regional centers, specifically Vyazma, Yartsevo, Safonovo, and Desnogorsk.
The service allows users to integrate home internet with mobile communication, television, and the KION streaming platform into a single package. According to Kristina Kiseleva, director of MTS in the Smolensk region, this bundled approach is designed to provide cost savings for families using multiple connected devices.
