MTS has completed the deployment of an internal LTE network within the Mayak Mall shopping center in Omsk. The infrastructure upgrade provides visitors and staff with mobile internet speeds reaching up to 100 Mbps.
The building's complex architecture, featuring glass with high radio-absorption levels and reinforced concrete partitions, previously hindered external signal penetration. MTS addressed this by installing dedicated base stations and antennas throughout the facility.
The new coverage extends to retail areas, the cinema, food courts, administrative offices, and parking lots. According to Mikhail Sinyugin, director of MTS in the Omsk region, the project aims to support business operations, including online cash registers and smart video surveillance systems.
