MSI has added the B650E Gaming WIFI motherboard to its product catalog. The board is based on the AMD B650E chipset, which was originally announced in 2022. Unlike the standard B650, this chipset provides guaranteed PCIe 5.0 support for graphics cards and SSDs.

The new motherboard supports AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series processors. It features a 15-phase VRM power design and a six-layer PCB. Users can install up to 256 GB of DDR5 RAM, with support for speeds up to DDR5-8000+ via overclocking and AMD EXPO profiles.

The board includes three M.2 slots, with the primary slot supporting PCIe 5.0 x4. It also provides four SATA III ports. Compared to the existing B650 Gaming Plus WIFI model, the new board adds a third M.2 slot and PCIe 5.0 support for the primary x16 slot.

The company has not disclosed the pricing or availability of the B650E Gaming WIFI. While the board offers improved PCIe connectivity, its rear USB-C port is limited to 10 Gbps, whereas the older B650 Gaming Plus WIFI model supports 20 Gbps.
