Motorola is preparing to launch its new flagship smartphone, the Signature 27, with an official presentation scheduled for September 22. This model will succeed the original Motorola Signature, which debuted in January 2026. The company has already begun releasing teasers highlighting the device's camera capabilities.

The camera module features a 200-megapixel sensor, which is expected to be the Sony LYTIA LYT-901. This sensor has an optical format of 1/1.12 inches and a pixel size of 0.7 micrometers, supporting up to 4x in-sensor zoom. The device also advertises a 100x Super Zoom feature, likely achieved through a combination of optical and digital cropping.

Design details from the teasers suggest a departure from traditional glass panels, as the back of the phone displays a distinct texture and decorative stitching, indicating the use of fabric or artificial leather. The device is also marked with Dolby Vision branding, confirming support for advanced high dynamic range video standards.

Internally, the smartphone is being developed under the codename Wukong. Reports indicate it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro platform. Furthermore, the device may feature support for GrapheneOS, following a previously established partnership agreement between the operating system developers and Motorola.
