Moscow Metro is modernizing its core IT infrastructure with a procurement of servers, storage systems, and software. The total cost of the project is 723.98 ₽ million.
The procurement includes 22 main rack servers with dual processors of at least 2.6 GHz and 64 GB of RAM per module, as well as additional servers for auxiliary tasks. For data transmission, the metro is acquiring 292 transceivers with speeds starting from 20 Gbps and switches with throughput from 100 Gbps to 4 Tbps.
The storage infrastructure will be upgraded with two disk network storage systems: a SAN class system for virtual machines with a controller cache of at least 512 GB, and a NAS class system for backup purposes. The software package includes 19 virtualization units, 22 licenses for backup and recovery, and 110 general-purpose operating system licenses.
The operating systems must meet FSTEC level 4 trust level. The project also includes a monitoring platform to control servers and network equipment via ICMP, SNMP, IPMI, SSH, and Redfish protocols. This platform will include a license for up to 5,000 pieces of equipment and an extension for 36 additional units.
All equipment and software must be delivered within the first 50 calendar days from the contract date. The tender applications are accepted until September 17, 2026, following the technical specifications published on September 1, 2026.
