The Morpho Midnight lending protocol has published its complete set of security audit reports on GitHub. The assessments, conducted between April and early September 2026, identified no critical vulnerabilities, with all findings categorized as low to medium severity.

The audits include reports from Spearbit, Blackthorn, Trust Security, and StErMi, alongside results from a Cantina bug bounty competition. Additionally, the protocol underwent formal verification through Certora.

Morpho Midnight was developed from scratch over approximately two years, with its whitepaper released on May 28, 2026. The codebase consists of about 1,100 lines of code, supporting fixed-rate and fixed-maturity lending.

The protocol launched on the Base network on July 21, 2026. It is designed to facilitate structured onchain financial products, such as asset-backed lending and term repos, by providing predictable interest rates.
