Morgan Stanley has rescheduled the launch of tokenized stock trading on its alternative trading system (ATS) to the first quarter of 2027. The bank previously aimed to introduce these capabilities in the second half of 2026, a timeline originally announced by the company in March 2026.

Amy Oldenburg, Head of Digital Asset Strategy at Morgan Stanley, stated that the delay is intended to align the launch with the development of the broader financial ecosystem. The bank is prioritizing the maturity of infrastructure related to custody and settlement processes.

The current ATS platform managed by Morgan Stanley supports traditional equities, exchange-traded funds, and American Depository Receipts. The planned upgrade aims to integrate selected tokenized versions of these assets to trade alongside existing conventional financial products.
