MoonPay has completed the acquisition of Rhythm, a platform designed for trading, risk management, and market opportunity discovery. The deal includes the integration of Rhythm’s technology and its three co-founders, Joseph Murphy, James Miller, and Lincoln Barnett III, into MoonPay’s operations.

The acquisition follows a previous investment in Rhythm by MoonPay Labs in 2025. Rhythm’s platform previously integrated with MoonPay’s Top Up widget to facilitate fiat onboarding. According to co-founder James Miller, the acquisition process concluded in July after eight months of development.

This transaction is part of a broader expansion strategy for MoonPay, which has executed multiple acquisitions over the past two years. Recent additions to the company’s portfolio include Glide, Entendre, Dawn Labs, DFlow, Sodot, Meso, Iron, and Helio. These acquisitions span sectors such as AI accounting, trading infrastructure, and crypto payments.
