Mistral and Cloudera have announced a partnership focused on sovereign AI. The collaboration allows enterprises to integrate Mistral models into Cloudera’s hybrid data platform, enabling deployment across private, public, on-prem, and air-gapped environments.

This initiative aims to keep data, compute, and operations under customer control. Organizations can train and run models on infrastructure within their chosen jurisdictions, ensuring they retain ownership of their intelligence and learning loops.

The announcement follows Mistral’s recent Series D funding round, which secured €3 billion, or approximately $3,5 billion. This represents the largest equity fundraising round for a European technology company to date.

Following the investment, Mistral is now valued at €21 billion, or roughly $24 billion. The company plans to allocate these funds toward expanding frontier research, infrastructure development, and scaling its commercial operations.
