Minisforum introduced the AI Agent NAS N5 Max-P495, a storage solution designed as a centralized backend for data, models, and long-running AI workloads. The device supports up to 200TB of local storage, allowing users to run AI agents such as OpenClaw or Hermes Agent locally to ensure data privacy and reduce latency.
The company also unveiled the MS-S1 Max-P495 mini-PC, an update to the previous MS-S1 model that used the AMD Ryzen AI Max 395+ APU. This workstation is optimized for AI compute, featuring the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor. The NPU provides 55 TOPS, contributing to a total AI performance of 131 TOPS.
The MS-S1 Max-P495 supports various models from labs like OpenAI, Qwen, and Gemma. For professional workflows, the device can be configured with up to 192GB of unified memory, making it suitable for 3D rendering, video editing, and computational fluid dynamics.
The workstation is scalable, with the ability to deploy four units in a 2U rack. Both the N5 Max-P495 and MS-S1 Max-P495 were presented at IFA, which takes place from September 4 to 8, 2026, in Berlin. Pricing and availability have not yet been disclosed.
