The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has identified 17 applications and software development kits (SDKs) that violate user privacy regulations. This action follows a joint announcement by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the MIIT, and the Ministry of Public Security regarding the 2026 personal information protection campaign.

The identified violations include unauthorized collection of personal data, non-closable pop-up windows, and excessive permission requests. Some applications were found to frequently auto-start or force users to enable targeted push notifications. The list includes various tools, such as the 'Aima Travel' app, '360 Camera', and several furniture-related WeChat mini-programs.

The affected software was distributed across multiple platforms, including the OPPO Software Store, Xiaomi App Store, Wandoujia, Kuaishou, Samsung App Store, and Alipay. Additionally, three SDKs—Yuanqi, Firefly Advertising, and Gravity Engine—were flagged for issues ranging from improper information disclosure to exceeding data collection scopes.
