Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Nano Controller, the smallest gamepad in its current lineup. Weighing 99 grams and measuring just over 12.7 cm in length, the device is designed for users with smaller hands, including children. Despite its compact size, the controller retains all 18 standard control elements found on full-sized models.

The device features a built-in battery and a programmable Action Button for tasks like capturing screenshots or recording gameplay. Connectivity is handled via Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth. The controller is priced at $49.99, with pre-orders opening on October 14, 2026.

Retail availability is scheduled for November 2026 across several markets, including the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Japan, and China. Microsoft plans to expand sales to additional regions later. Russia is not included in the initial launch phase.

Microsoft is partnering with Samsung and Meta to offer the controller as part of a bundle. In the US, customers purchasing specific Samsung televisions or Meta Quest headsets will receive the Xbox Nano Controller along with a two-month subscription to Game Pass Ultimate for new subscribers.
