Microsoft has officially unveiled the Xbox Nano, a compact controller designed for portability and users with smaller hands. The device measures just over five inches in length, making it shorter than most modern smartphones. It features a full set of standard buttons, along with Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity for use with consoles, PCs, tablets, and mobile phones.
Unlike standard Xbox controllers, the Nano includes a built-in rechargeable battery, eliminating the need for AA batteries or external charging packs. The device also introduces a new programmable Action Button, which users can customize to trigger shortcuts such as gameplay capture or screenshots. The final design includes a USB-C port at the rear and a dedicated pairing button.
The controller is now available for pre-order at a price of $49.99. Microsoft confirmed that the device will begin shipping to customers in November. While early leaks suggested the inclusion of a small screen for connectivity status, the final shipping version does not feature this display.
