Microsoft has introduced the Xbox Nano Controller, a compact wireless gamepad designed for younger players and mobile gaming. The device measures just over 5 inches in length and weighs approximately 99 grams, making it lighter and more portable than most modern smartphones. Despite its small form factor, the controller retains the standard 18 input buttons found on full-sized Xbox controllers.

The controller features a built-in rechargeable battery and includes a new programmable Action button. Users can customize button mapping and assign shortcuts, such as taking screenshots or recording gameplay, via the Xbox Accessories application. The device supports Xbox Wireless for consoles and Bluetooth for Windows PCs, tablets, mobile devices, and smart TVs. It charges via USB-C, although the cable is not included in the package.

Priced at $49.99, the Xbox Nano is currently available for pre-order. A global rollout is scheduled to begin in November across more than 30 markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Australia, and Hungary. Microsoft has not yet disclosed the specific battery life or charging duration for the new hardware.

In the United States, Microsoft is offering a holiday promotion for new customers. Users who purchase select Samsung televisions or Meta Quest headsets will receive an Xbox Nano controller along with a two-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This offer is limited to specific products and new subscribers within the US market.
