Microsoft has released the stable version 154.0.4258.37 of its Edge browser. This update introduces support for Google account logins on both Windows and macOS platforms. Administrators can manage this feature using the NonMicrosoftAccountSignInEnabled policy.

The browser now features an improved first-run experience. A close button has been added to the account setup interface, allowing users to cancel the process. If a user exits during setup, Edge automatically removes any incomplete account files to prevent data residue.

The update enhances the address bar key icon functionality. Users can now open a credential details panel to copy usernames, view and copy passwords, and add personal notes to individual login entries, such as recovery information or usage details.

Microsoft has also begun phasing out the unload event in Edge 154. The company stated that the event is unreliable and intends to remove support for it entirely in the future. Developers are advised to migrate their applications to alternative APIs.
