Microsoft has officially opened preorders for the Surface Laptop Ultra, following its initial showcase at Computex in June. The device is scheduled to begin shipping on October 16.
The base model is priced at $2,599 and features a 15-inch mini-LED display. It includes an 18-core CPU, a 5,120-core Blackwell GPU, and 24 GB of unified memory.
The 20-core configuration with a 6,144-core GPU and 32 GB of memory starts at $3,699. A 64 GB model with 2 TB of storage is priced at $4,699, while the top-tier version with 128 GB of memory and a 1 TB SSD costs $5,899.
Additionally, the company introduced the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, which is listed at $5,999. The laptop also features a new breakaway USB-C port, designed to disconnect safely if the cable is pulled, functioning similarly to proprietary magnetic connectors while remaining compatible with standard USB-C devices.
