The MG 07 fastback sedan, produced by SAIC, has secured over 42,000 locked orders in China within 20 days of its market launch. The vehicle debuted on August 21 at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show, where it recorded 10,000 orders in under two minutes.

The model is available with plug-in hybrid and battery-electric powertrains built on the Nebula platform. Prices range from ¥108,900 to ¥159,900, with temporary launch subsidies reducing the starting price to ¥105,900 through September 30.

The PHEV version features a 1.5-litre engine, a 152 kW electric motor, and a 30 kWh CATL battery, providing a combined range of 1,745 km. BEV variants offer battery capacities of 67 kWh or 91 kWh, with the top-tier model utilizing an 800V architecture.

Select trims include roof-mounted LiDAR powered by Momenta R7 and X7 chips. The vehicle also features an mCDC system with AI-based road scanning and multi-link rear suspension with electronically controlled damping.

Over 45% of early orders consist of models with a range exceeding 800 km. To meet demand, MG has expanded battery production lines with CATL. Deliveries for PHEV and 650 km BEV variants started in late August, with 845 km models arriving in October.
