Mezo, a Bitcoin-focused protocol, has set a final deadline of October 13, 2026, for users to withdraw specific tokens. The list of affected assets includes swBTC, USDe, solvBTC, and xsolvBTC. Deposits for these tokens were suspended on September 11 and September 29, respectively.

In addition to removing support for these four tokens, Mezo will permanently close its native BTC bridge-in on October 13. The protocol advises users to process all withdrawals through the official Mezo application before this date to avoid the risk of assets becoming inaccessible.

The decision to discontinue these bridges is attributed to low user activity. Data from DefiLlama indicates that the combined bridged volume for USDe and mUSDe on the platform is less than $4,000. The protocol intends to reallocate resources toward services with higher usage.

Separately, on October 5, Mezo experienced an exploit that resulted in the loss of approximately 5.52 BTC from 37 veBTC positions. The platform clarified that this security incident is unrelated to the previously announced bridge deprecation plans.
