The cryptocurrency exchange MEXC has completed the migration of its Realio Network (RIO) token reserves from the Algorand blockchain to Ethereum. The assets were swapped at a 1:1 ratio as part of a recovery process following an unspecified incident affecting the project's reserves.
The new RIO tokens are now hosted on the Ethereum network under the contract address 0x94a8b4EE5CD64C79D0Ee816f467EA73009f51aA0. This transition was initiated by the Realio Network team, which focuses on the tokenization of real-world assets such as private equity and real estate.
MEXC previously conducted a similar contract swap for RIO on the Binance Smart Chain in late 2024. The exchange confirmed that the current migration did not disrupt trading activities for its users, and further recovery updates will be provided through official project channels.
