Meta has introduced Muse, a personal AI agent designed to handle everyday tasks for users in the United States. The agent connects to a user's email, calendars, payments, and apps for health, fitness, smart home, dining, shopping, and music. It can send emails, book travel, fill out forms, create plans, and turn recipe reels into grocery lists.
The service is powered by the Muse Spark model and offers built-in connectors for several services. If a public API is unavailable, Muse can access services via a browser. For checkouts, the agent leverages Link by Stripe, with integrations for Shopify's Shop Pay and 1Password coming soon.
Muse is available via the web at muse.ai, on iOS and Android apps, and through WhatsApp chats. It will also be integrated into Meta's AI glasses. The service is free to use, but requires a payment card for registration. Subscription plans include Power at $20 per month and Maximum at $100 per month.
Meta claims the agent runs in a dedicated secure computer called Muse Secure VM, with a separate Sentinel agent for security. The company states that Muse does not have visibility into passwords or payment methods and does not share user data or conversations with its advertising systems.
