Meta is developing a dedicated Mail tab for its AI agent, Muse. This interface will be integrated into the existing multi-tab layout, which currently includes Chat, Feed, Ideas, Goals, and Library sections.
Muse launched in the US on September 8, 2026. The agent connects to email accounts, including Gmail, and allows users to set permissions for read-only access or message sending.
The service offers a free tier, as well as subscription plans priced at $20 per month and $100 per month for heavy users. Meta aims to position Muse as a productivity tool for managing high-volume email workflows.
The agent operates within the Muse Secure VM, a virtual machine designed to isolate operations. The system includes audit trails and permission controls to manage agent activity and address security concerns identified during internal testing.
