Meta has updated its Quest headset software to include a feature that allows users to establish a remote connection with a Mac by simply looking at the computer. A prompt appears on the screen, enabling a quick transition to a virtual desktop environment.

This functionality is available for users who update the Meta Quest Virtual Display client for macOS to version 104.0.0.1.109 or later. The update supports both ARM-based and Intel-based Mac computers.

The virtual desktop environment offers an Ultrawide mode for a panoramic display experience and a Larger text mode to improve readability. Users can navigate the interface using the Quest Touch controllers to move the mouse pointer.

The system also supports direct Bluetooth connectivity for keyboards and mice. These peripherals can be used to control both the virtual Mac desktop and the native interface of the Quest headset simultaneously.
