Merlion Group has entered the warehouse robotics market by signing a distribution agreement with Chinese manufacturer Hefei Jingsong Intelligent Technology. The deal, finalized on September 15, 2026, involves the promotion of XGEN Robot brand solutions in Russia through the company's fulfillment operator, Cactus.
The partnership provides Russian businesses with access to a wide range of logistics robotics and automated warehouse management systems. Merlion plans to offer turnkey integration projects, leveraging its existing logistics infrastructure and experience gained from testing XGEN equipment at its own facilities over the past year.
The expansion is driven by the growing demand for warehouse automation in Russia, fueled by labor shortages and the rapid development of e-commerce. The national project 'Means of Production and Automation,' launched in 2025 and running through 2030, also supports the adoption of such technologies.
Hefei Jingsong Intelligent Technology has been operating globally since 2007, specializing in the development of automated logistics systems and warehouse management software. Merlion intends to scale this new business segment significantly within the next year, positioning it as a key part of its portfolio.
