Mercedes-Benz has introduced the VLE 400 4MATIC, an all-wheel-drive version of its electric Grand Limousine. The new model features a system output of 310 kW and uses an NMC battery with a usable capacity of 115 kWh. It offers a WLTP range of up to 654 km.
In Germany, the six-seat variant starts at €78,909 with a leasing rate of €772.67, while the five-seat version starts at €78,452.04 with a leasing rate of €768.19. For comparison, the VLE 300 is priced at €70,735. All figures are gross prices.
The 4MATIC system adds a rear-axle electric motor, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. Towing capacity has increased to 2.5 tonnes, compared to 1.75 tonnes for the front-wheel-drive model, while the nose weight remains at 100 kg. Unbraked towing capacity for the previous model was 750 kg.
The vehicle utilizes an 800-volt architecture, allowing DC charging power of up to 300 kW. Charging from 10 to 80 percent takes 25 minutes under ideal conditions, and 15 minutes of charging provides power for an additional 355 km. The front-wheel-drive model has a range of up to 713 km.
Mercedes-Benz has also expanded equipment options. The VLE 300 is available in AMG Line and AMG Line Plus trims since July. A new Advanced package is now available, bringing the total to four optional equipment packages: Advanced, Advanced Plus, Premium, and Premium Plus. The Premium Plus package includes a head-up display and the MBUX Superscreen.
Since the summer, trim lines and packages can be combined more flexibly. The VLE Exclusive can now be paired with the Premium or Premium Plus packages. The Sky View panoramic roof is now a freely selectable option. Additionally, electrically adjustable premium comfort seats for the rear with heating and armrests were introduced in July, and the VLE 300 can now be ordered as an eight-seater.
