The new full-size SUV from Mercedes-AMG is set for its global debut on October 17. The unveiling will take place during The 140 festival, held at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. Customers can expect the first vehicle deliveries to begin in early 2027.
This model marks a significant milestone as the second vehicle built on the proprietary AMG.EA electric architecture. Unlike previous efforts, this SUV features a platform developed entirely by engineers at the Affalterbach facility, rather than being adapted from existing Mercedes-Benz models.
Design cues for the upcoming electric SUV draw inspiration from the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. Exterior features include a prominent grille with vertical slats, a sculpted hood, and signature LED lighting patterns. The rear design incorporates circular LED taillights with an illuminated three-pointed star motif.
While official technical specifications remain under wraps, industry expectations suggest the powertrain will be shared with the GT 4-Door Coupe. This configuration could potentially deliver up to 1,153 horsepower and approximately 2,000 Nm of torque, positioning the SUV as a high-performance electric vehicle.
