MegaFon has installed a new base station to provide improved connectivity for the Malyye Soli sanatorium in the Yaroslavl region. The infrastructure upgrade introduces VoLTE voice services and mobile internet speeds reaching up to 40 Mbps for both the health resort and the nearby village of Smirnovo.
The operator's engineering team utilized equipment operating across low and medium LTE frequency bands. This technical configuration was selected to extend the signal coverage area and enhance data transmission stability for guests and local residents.
The Malyye Soli facility is located 45 kilometers from Yaroslavl. According to MegaFon, the resort attracts visitors from various regions, including Moscow, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, and Kirov. Sergey Timonin, director of MegaFon in the Yaroslavl region, noted that the project aims to ensure reliable communication for guests during their stay.
For the residents of Smirnovo, the new equipment provides access to digital services, remote work platforms, and educational tools at speeds of up to 40 Mbps. The operator emphasizes that consistent mobile internet access is increasingly prioritized by travelers when selecting health and recreation destinations.
