MegaFon has expanded its mobile network and internet coverage to 67 remote villages in the Omsk region. This initiative, part of the federal project to eliminate digital inequality, provides connectivity to nearly 14,000 residents in small settlements with populations ranging from 100 to 360 people.

The project was implemented in partnership with the regional Ministry of Digital Development and Communications. The new infrastructure enables residents to access digital services, including online education, remote work, and social media platforms, which were previously limited in these areas.

According to MegaFon, rural users currently generate approximately 42% of the region's total mobile internet traffic. To support this demand, the company has constructed and upgraded over 50 telecommunications facilities in the Omsk region since the beginning of the year, utilizing both state program funding and internal investments.
