MegaFon has deployed new telecommunications equipment in the Akademichesky district of Yekaterinburg. The upgrades focus on the Berezovaya Roshcha area, a popular local destination for recreation.
Since early September 2026, the new infrastructure has handled data traffic equivalent to over 1 million high-quality photos. The improvements cover Krasnolesya, Chkalova, and Akademika Vonsovskogo streets.
The network upgrade enables maximum data transfer speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s. This capacity allows users to stream music, manage smart home systems, and maintain stable voice connections during peak hours.
The project is part of a broader network expansion program in the district. Previous upgrades were completed by MegaFon engineers in areas near Vilgelma de Gennina and Nachdiva Onufrieva streets, as well as local park zones.
