MegaFon has upgraded its telecommunications infrastructure across several settlements in the Neftekumsky and Kursky districts of the Stavropol Territory. The operator installed new equipment and modernized existing hardware to improve network performance.

Engineers expanded the frequency spectrum in the 2100 MHz band in the city of Neftekumsk, the village of Zunkar, and the village of Edissiya. By activating medium and high frequency bands, the company increased network capacity for local users.

As a result of these upgrades, maximum mobile internet speeds in the region rose by 10%, reaching approximately 70 Mbps. The operator reports that this infrastructure work was timed to meet increased seasonal demand for data services during the autumn period.

Data from MegaFon indicates that average monthly consumption per user in the region is currently 25 GB. Furthermore, total traffic volume for the operator's subscribers in the area grew by 28% in 2026 compared to the previous year.
