MegaFon has deployed telecommunications infrastructure in Samburg, the northernmost settlement in the Purovsky District of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. This project marks the company's first base station installation in the Arctic village, providing over 2,000 residents and shift workers with high-speed mobile internet and improved voice connectivity.

The newly installed equipment enables data transmission speeds of up to 60 Mbit/s. In addition to MegaFon services, the network infrastructure now also supports Yota connectivity for local users. The company noted that this expansion facilitates access to online public services, remote education, and digital tools for the local population.

Throughout 2026, MegaFon has focused on network modernization across several other settlements in the region. Infrastructure upgrades were completed in the villages of Yar-Sale, Salemal, Panayevsk, and Beloyarsk, reflecting the operator's ongoing efforts to improve connectivity in remote areas of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
